Data collected and purposes

  • Contact form (“Inquiries”): name, email address and message, to answer your request (exhibition, press, artwork acquisition, collaboration). Legal basis: your request, which we have a legitimate interest in answering.
  • News form (“Get Notified”): name and email address, to send you news about Hermine Bourdin’s work. Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form. You can unsubscribe at any time by writing to contact@herminebourdin.com. Sign-ups are stored on the website’s server; if an emailing tool is set up, this policy will be updated before any sending.
  • Audience measurement: the website uses Burst Statistics in private mode. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address in clear and cannot identify you. Statistics stay on the website’s server.

Recipients and processors

Your data is never sold or shared. It is only accessible to Hermine Bourdin and her team, and processed by:

  • Infomaniak (Switzerland): website and email hosting. Switzerland benefits from a European Commission adequacy decision.
  • Google (website backups on Google Drive): backups include the website database, and therefore messages received through the forms.
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile anti-spam protection on forms): processes technical connection data (IP address, browser) to tell humans from bots.
  • Google Fonts: the website fonts are currently loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
  • Instagram (Meta): the Instagram feed on the home page may load images from Instagram’s servers.

Some of these providers (Google, Cloudflare, Meta) are based in the United States; transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention

  • Messages received through forms: 3 years after the last exchange.
  • News sign-ups: until you unsubscribe.
  • Visit statistics: anonymous data, no time limit.

Cookies

This website sets no audience measurement or advertising cookies. Only technical cookies may be used: language preference, anti-spam protection of forms, administrator login. They do not require your consent.

Your rights

You can at any time access your data, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing, request its restriction or portability, and withdraw your consent. Write to contact@herminebourdin.com.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
